AI Listing Summary

This 1970 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 2+2 is a right-hand drive, home-market example, of which only 1,040 were built. It features matching chassis and engine numbers, an original Borg-Warner automatic gearbox, and a Webasto sunroof, adding to its rarity and desirability, further enhanced by a comprehensive restoration in the 1990s.

The car is described as being in excellent order following an exhaustive restoration in the 1990s. An appraisal in 2005 rated every area of the car as either "excellent" or "fine." While some light fettling was performed in 2017 and 2018, the car was mainly enjoyed by the owner. The listing mentions "almost flawless paintwork" from a 2015 sale. This suggests a very well-maintained vehicle with minimal cosmetic imperfections and no mention of significant damage or issues. Minor reconditioning may be required after years of use.
