AI Listing Summary

This 1967 Austin Vanden Plas Princess Limousine, in current ownership since 1977, is offered with no reserve and a long MOT until June 2026. With approximately 88,000 miles and a history file including invoices for maintenance, it presents as a usable classic, but moderate wear suggests some reconditioning may be needed.

Condition

6

The car is described as 'running and driving smoothly' and having been MOT'd regularly, suggesting it's mechanically sound for its age. Cosmetically, it's finished in white with a brown leather interior, typical for its age but with likely wear and tear. The presence of invoices from a specialist indicates maintenance and improvements, but the listing also suggests 'moderate wear' is present on the exterior, interior and/or wheels, with 'light paint scratches' possible. As such, 'Good' seems appropriate.

The Princess was produced by Austin and its subsidiary Vanden Plas from 1947 to 1968, when it was supplanted by the Daimler DS420.

The mainstay of many a hire fleet and civic car pool, it was available in two guises - the Saloon (DS) or limousine (DM), which had a sliding glass partition.

There was little difference between the original MK1 (A120) and the MK2 (A135) models, both of which were powered by the same 3995cc OHV straight-six engine and capable of accelerating to 60mph in around 20 seconds and on to a terminal speed of 90mph.

In current ownership since 1977 and previously registered 8000 VT, BVG 324E has been MOT'd regularly throughout it's life and is offered with a current MOT to June 2026.

Finished in white with brown leather interior, it currently registers some 88,000 miles.

A number of invoices accompany the car, including from David Keeling, Veteran And Vintage Vehicle Restoration Specialist, detailing maintenance and improvements carried out.
