The Morgan 4/4 was in production for an amazing eighty-three years (1936-2019), a fact that earned both manufacturer and model a place in the Guinness Book of Records.

The Malvern Company’s first four-wheeled / four-cylindered design (hence the name), stayed true to the same tried and tested formula for generations.

Unveiled in 1993, the ‘latest’ Morgan 4/4 1800 was faster, cleaner and more frugal than many of its predecessors.

Based around a box-section ladder-frame chassis equipped with independent 'sliding pillar' front suspension, a leaf-sprung 'live' rear axle and disc / drum hydraulic brakes, the aluminium-over-ash construction of its bodywork contributed towards a commendably low kerb weight (c.868kg).

Embracing the marque tradition of using proprietary running gear, the newcomer was powered by a Ford-sourced four-cylinder ‘Zetec’ engine (complete with fuel-injection and double-overhead camshafts) allied to a five-speed manual transmission.
