AI Listing Summary

This 1953 Allard Palm Beach, chassis '4655 H,' boasts a unique history, originally owned by a film director and reportedly driven by Norman Wisdom. Upgraded with a Jaguar 3.8 engine, disc brakes, and E-Type gearbox, it offers enhanced performance and represents Sydney Allard's original vision. Having been kept mothballed, this is the first time it's been on the open market since 1960, making it a rare opportunity for collectors.

The car has been well-maintained by long-term owners, with documented history and a magazine feature highlighting its condition. The recent gearbox upgrade further enhances its drivability, bringing it closer to the original vision for the Palm Beach.

Introduced in 1952, the pretty, alloy-bodied Palm Beach was Sydney Allard's final sports car design, employing a K3-type tubular chassis and his trademark independently suspended swing axles at the front with a coil-sprung live axle at the rear.
