PLEASE NOTE: This lot was driven to the sale, however it is displaying an engine management light, TPMS light and brake bulb warning light however a new bulb was found in the car when stripped out.
The Mustang versus Camaro rivalry has been raging since the 1960s with both models amassing a legion of loyal fans.
Introduced in 2009, the fifth generation Camaro featured stylistic echoes of its 1969 forebear (notably the grille, roof line, quarter windows and side trim) but was underpinned by a brand new platform.
Engineered by Holden who had responsibility for all GM’s rear-wheel drive designs, the latter was equipped with all-round independent suspension (McPherson strut front / four-link rear), four-wheel disc brakes and power assisted steering.
Available in Coupe and Convertible guises, the muscular-looking Chevy could be had with a choice of V6 or V8 engines (ranging in size from 3.6 – 7.0 litres) allied to manual or automatic transmission.
