AI Listing Summary
This 1989 Rover Mini ERA Turbo, one of only 99 UK-spec models, is a rare find with just 27,000 miles and two owners from new. Stored since 2001 due to mechanical issues, it presents a rewarding restoration project, retaining its original features and Connolly hide leather interior.

Condition
5
The car has been stored in a dry garage since 2001 and shows minimal rust, indicating good preservation. The interior is well-preserved, suggesting the mileage is likely correct. However, it requires mechanical work due to noisy big end bearings and has some cosmetic issues like rust on the front wing. The car does not have a current MOT.

The sale of the company's G Type project to Bristol in 1953 brought its racing days to a close and the following year it was absorbed by the Zenith Carburettor Company and the name changed to Engineering Research & Application Ltd.
However, none of the engineering skills were lost and, 35 years later ERA decided to embody them in the design and manufacture of a new performance car - the ERA Mini Turbo.
Conceived as an '80s replacement for the Mini Cooper S, it was intended to combine the speed, handling and excitement of the mainstream product with a far greater level of refinement and comfort - in short, it was to be the fastest and best engineered Mini ever produced.
