AI Listing Summary

This 1936 Singer Nine Le Mans Special is a restored classic featuring a larger 1074cc engine and Le Mans-style body. It has been with the current owner since 2008 and comes with a comprehensive history file, making it an appealing choice for VSCC events despite its sparingly use.

Condition

7

While the car has been restored, the description mentions it was used sparingly since 2008 and is being driven to the sale, suggesting it's in good running condition but not pristine. The history file and restoration details add value, but the lack of early history and the fact that it's a Le Mans Special restored with parts, not an original, temper the rating.

As opposed to the competing MGs, the Singer had more powerful and dependable hydraulic Lockheed brakes.

The Nine Le Mans, while not particularly successful at the track which gave it its name, clocked up an impressive number of wins at hill climbs, trials, and various endurance...
