Produced from 1994 through 1998, the Porsche 993 marked the final generation of the air-cooled 911.

Introduced for 1996, the Turbo represented the model’s high-performance flagship, combining the familiar character of the air-cooled era with significant advances in technology, refinement, and capability.


Power came from a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six featuring sophisticated electronic engine management and redesigned cylinder heads.

Paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and all-wheel drive, the package delivered remarkable performance and all-weather capability.

A fixed rear wing provided additional downforce while channeling air to twin intercoolers.


Derived from the 959 supercar, the Turbo’s all-wheel-drive system continuously distributed power to maximize traction, while larger brakes borrowed from the 911 Carrera RS provided exceptional stopping power.
