Few individual competition cars in Ferrari’s history changed the course of the marque as profoundly as chassis 0810.

As the first Ferrari P car – “P” denoting prototipo – it introduced a new generation of mid-engine V-12 sports cars to the world.

These prototypes carried Scuderia Ferrari to success at the highest levels of motor racing, delivered victories at Le Mans, Sebring, and Daytona, and established a revolutionary engineering philosophy that continues to define Ferrari road and competition cars to this day.


Developed by Mauro Forghieri with crucial development input from John Surtees, and unveiled to the international motoring press at Monza, 0810 immediately justified Ferrari's bold new direction.

It played a central role in Scuderia Ferrari’s dominant 1963 race season before embarking on a distinguished career with Luigi Chinetti’s legendary North American Racing Team (N.A.R.T.), remaining at the forefront of international competition into the mid-1960s.
