All were custom ordered and, therefore, no two were exactly alike.
Among collectors, the uniquely graceful and elegant lines of James Young’s design PV16 are highly favored over the more angular Mulliner Park Ward bodies.
Originally built for UK-based jewelry retailer J & B Gold Limited, this James Young-bodied Phantom V Limousine was completed in January 1967 and was converted to left-hand drive by 1968, presumably for export to mainland Europe or America.
While subsequent early ownership history is not known, the Limousine was acquired by Dr.
Stephen Safran of Oakhurst, New Jersey by 1994, and a photo from his ownership depicts the car with a Zurich front license plate, suggesting it may have resided in Switzerland in the intervening years.
