In 1967, Porsche introduced the high-performance 911 S, which featured 23% more horsepower, as well as an upgraded suspension with adjustable KONI shocks.
That same year, the company debuted the Targa roof option featuring a zip-out “soft” rear window for a more complete open-air experience.
Just 483 of these examples were built in the 1967 model year.
Confirmed by its Porsche COA, chassis 500623S left the factory in June 1967, finished in desirable Gulf Blue (6603) – an option only available from 1966 to 1968.
With an interior trimmed in black leatherette, this example was also optioned with a Webasto heater, Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, loudspeaker, antenna, and driver-side mirror.
