Developed under Vittorio Jano and Francesco De Virgilio, the Aurelia was an engineering tour de force that featured Lancia’s famous front independent sliding-pillar suspension, independent-spring rear suspension, and a rear-mounted four-speed transaxle with integrated inboard rear brakes.
