Land Rover finally replaced its leaf sprung 'Series' range in 1983, with the introduction of the 'Ninety' and 'One Ten' models.

This was the most significant revision of the original Land Rover concept thus far, with slightly increased wheelbases along with a new interior and range of new engines, including Rover's compact, alloy V8.

The name Defender didn t arrive until 1991 prior to that the models were known as Ninety and One Ten referencing their wheel bases.

Originally white but changed to red in 1993 and registered as red with DVLA Spent most of it s life in rural Devon doing the occasional trips out for biking, hence the 5 bike carrier with Dixon bate attachment, and pulling a boat, hence the front tow ball fitted to the front bumper Fitted with a galvanised roof rack.
