Regarded by enthusiasts of the marque as the last of the true DKWs, the Auto Union 1000S is an extremely rare sight on UK roads, despite the popularity of the four ringed badge on modern cars.
Powered by a two-stroke three-cylinder engine, these charming, curvaceous cars continue to excite collectors.
This DKW Auto Union was acquired by our vendor on 17 December 2009 to participate in DKW meetings in the UK and also in the Republic of Ireland.
The family were interested in the marque as the vendor’s father worked for DKW as Sales Director in the 1950s when the brand was under the ownership of Mercedes-Benz.
