The delightful Austin 7, here in RN De Luxe Saloon guise, continues to be supremely popular, an outstanding feat for an economic runabout designed over a century ago.

PJ 5487 first appeared at a DVCA auction in 2014 after undergoing a full restoration to a very high standard, with much supporting photographic and invoice evidence.

Diligence was employed on a complete interior re-trim, a re-paint and general cosmetic attention; mechanically, the Austin was overhauled and thoroughly checked, with a rebuilt radiator, a re-wired electrical system and new tyres fitted.

The underside was excellent and the sunshine roof worked effortlessly; the only non-standard addition was flashing indicators, which were wisely added for safety.

The Baby Austin has since been in the careful ownership of a gentleman who has very sadly recently passed away.
