LOT 86 of the Wolfgang Gawor Collection in association with Dukes BY E.R.THOMAS MOTOR CO, BUFFALO NY Wolfgang Gawor purchased this 1908 4/60 as a chassis and running gear project in 1984.
During his ownership, Mr Gawor completely rebuilt the motor car, using original Thomas parts collected on his travels throughout America.
Of the five Thomas Flyers previously owned and restored by Mr Gawor, we understand this example to be the most authentic, both in its provenance and the quantity of original Thomas parts.
The Flyer has cherry red coachwork and superb red leather button back upholstery, and is equipped with a canvas hood and a rear luggage rack.
For passenger comfort, there is an Auster-type rear windscreen.
It is powered by a four cylinder engine of 60 horse power, driven by twin chains.
