Dax Cars was founded in 1968 in Harlow Essex and is best known for producing replicas of the mighty AC 427 Cobra.

John Tojeiro was responsible for designing the original AC Ace, which became a ‘must have’ for true petrol heads, but soon became out of range for their pockets.

The replica market has proved very strong and Dax is thought to have lead the field in the Cobra styled products.

Cars appeared with a wide range of running gear, popular of which were the various Jaguar and Rover engines.

This particular 1978 example was purchased by its current custodian, Win Percy, as a ‘fun’ car, but circumstances have rendered the Cobra impractical and so therefore it is reluctantly being offered for sale now.

This superlative sports car was meticulously built using all new or reconditioned parts.
