Introduced in 1934, the Wolseley Nine was a companion for the Hornet; the four cylinder 1018cc three bearing engine sat in the same wheelbase chassis.

Interestingly, from 1933, all Wolseleys had an illuminated grille badge which characterised the marque until production ceased in 1975.

We are assured that this restoration project is complete with all major components present, apart from a mislaid front mudguard.

A great deal of restoration work has already been carried out: the chassis has been stripped and repainted, and we understand that the late Ted Howard dismantled, checked, reassembled and ran the engine.

The gearbox and rear axle were also dismantled, checked and adjusted.

We understand that the motor car is equipped with a new clutch and the steering box and joints have apparently been overhauled.

All oils have been changed.
