Vehicle Details
AI Listing Summary
This is a factory-built 1930s Austin Seven Nippy, a sporty two-seater that has been enjoyed by its current owner for 30 years, including continental runs and a rally in New Zealand. The car features a rebuilt 747cc engine with performance upgrades, but the paintwork has some crazing, particularly on the front wings.

Condition
6
While mechanically sound with a rebuilt engine and attention to the rear axle and brakes, the listing mentions crazing in the paintwork, particularly on the front wings, and admits that the cosmetics are 'perhaps spoiled' by this. The vendor has strengthened the body, indicating some prior issues that have been addressed but may still impact the overall condition. Although perfectly acceptable to most, the cosmetic flaws prevent it from scoring higher.

The current owner has enjoyed the vehicle for some thirty years, taking it on long Continental runs and he even had it shipped out to New Zealand for the Millennium Rally in Hamilton.
Well known Austin Seven specialist Vince Leek rebuilt the mechanicals, fitting a Phoenix crankshaft to the two bearing 747cc engine, a fast road camshaft and a high pressure oil pump and filter.
