Vehicle Details

AI Listing Summary

This 1935 Wolseley Wasp, one of only 5,815 units produced, is a largely original example with a four-cylinder 1,100 cc engine and four-speed gearbox. While running and MOT-certified, it offers scope for improvement, particularly in bodywork and paint. The interior is reasonably well-preserved, and the engine was overhauled eight years ago, with a history file including the RF60 registration book, V5C, and original manuals, adding to its appeal for enthusiasts willing to invest in some restoration.

Condition

5

The car is described as being in running condition with an MOT certificate, but it requires some further improvement. The bodywork is generally sound but needs attention on the running boards, the paintwork is largely original but poor in places, and the interior is original and in reasonable condition considering its age, but with some wear. The engine was overhauled eight years ago, and other mechanical and electrical equipment is in good working order. A replacement petrol tank has been fitted. Overall, the car shows signs of wear and needs some cosmetic work, but it's mechanically sound.

The Wolseley Wasp was produced in 1935 and 1936 at the Ward End works in Birmingham and was an updated version of the Wolseley 9 introduced in 1934.

It boasted a four cylinder 1,100 cc overhead camshaft engine, four speed gearbox, hydraulic brakes and 12 volt electrics.

Total production comprised only 5,815 units.

On offer here is a particularly original example, which although running and with an MOT test certificate, does provide scope for some further improvement.
