The Rolls-Royce Corniche IV represents the absolute pinnacle of the Corniche lineage.
Having first been launched as the Silver Shadow Drophead in 1967, the car had gone through many iterations in the subsequent years, being renamed as the Corniche in 1971, the introduction of the Corniche 1A in 1976 with the updated dashboard and larger wheel arches to be seen on later cars, the Corniche II in 1986, the III in 1989 and finally the IV in 1992.
The changes made for the IV were by far the most considerable for any Corniche since the 1A.
