Description
The first generation Dodge Viper was manufactured from 1991 until 1995 under the Chrysler brand.
Lamborghini helped with the design of the 8.0 L V10 engine developing 400hp.
This takes the Viper to 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds, quick by even modern day standards.
The performance based intentions of the car are clear from the tubular steel frame with fibreglass panels to monstrous rear tyres which allow almost one g of lateral force when cornering.
Sweeping side exit exhausts, distinctive three spoke alloy wheels and an aggressive body kit make this sports car stand out from the more pedestrian cars on the roads.
This particular LHD model was imported to the UK months after being built and is a rare sight on Britain’s roads.
Being a later model this example benefits from the additions that the earlier SR I models lacked such as air conditioning, radio and a lightweight fibreglass roof in matching red.
Modern driver aids such as airbags, traction control and ABS are absent as weight...
