The Maserati Quattroporte of the 1960’s is a well-known car to any enthusiast but this extraordinary example will be new to many.
This vehicle was one of five Quattroportes commissioned by Constuzione Estintori Anticendio (CEA) of Bologna, with a special body made by Grazia.
This car was then used on Italian race tracks as a safety and fire support vehicle from 1973 to 1978.
The engine is the well-known V8 with four overhead camshafts and 4136cc.
/ 260bhp at 5200 rpm.
This meant that there would be no delays when it came to dealing with potential accidents or fires during a time when Formula 1 was one of the most dangerous sports in the world.
The 5-speed ZF transmission completes the package with Girling Disc Barkes for stopping power.
