Introduced in January 1968, the Alfa Romeo 1750 replaced the Giulia, which had been a great commercial success.

Code-named "project 105", the new sedan had to do better in every respect.

Its lines are still the work of designer Bertone, and its angular shapes are perfectly in tune with the times.

The 1750 is intended to be more upmarket than the Giulia, more powerful but also more comfortable.

The engine block is made entirely of aluminum and features two overhead camshafts.

It develops 118 hp and delivers a top speed of over 180 km/h.


A 132-hp 2000 version followed in 1971.

The body remained unchanged from the 1750, but was fitted with air conditioning.
