KEY FACTS This Lynx Jaguar XKSS is a very rare and highly faithful recreation of the legendary classic British road-going race car, which is one of just nine examples built.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-litre dry-sump XK inline-six, fed by triple Weber 45DCOE carburettors, delivering up to 225bhp to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
This Lynx Jaguar XKSS tribute was originally commissioned by Jaguar enthusiast and collector Dick Skipworth in 1988 and was constructed using a 1967 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 2+2 Coupe as a donor vehicle.
It was later imported into the US, where it passed through four owners: Gary Barlett, actor Nicolas Cage, Herb Watson, and Thomas Knudsen.
The car would later return to the UK in around 2011 and received a full respray in 2013.
The car was purchased by TV presenter Chris Evans in September 2014 The odometer indicates 10,532 miles, though this is not warranted.
