KEY FACTS This Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I is a rare and beautifully executed Drophead Coupe ‘Adaptation’, converted to H.J.

Mulliner style by marque specialists Wildae Restoration Ltd between 1996 and 2005 at a cost of more than £147,000.

It is powered by a 4.9-litre inline six-cylinder engine, producing around 155bhp, coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission.

This left-hand drive example was originally delivered to the United States in December 1959, before being repatriated to the UK in 1996, and is offered for sale on behalf of the seller’s father and third UK owner, who acquired the car in August 2016.

This Silver Cloud I started life as a four-dour saloon model, before it was fully restored and converted to DHC specification between 1996 and 2005, with accompanying records, photos, and invoices.

The seller notes that more than £61,000 has been spent on servicing and repairs since 2008, mostly by Rolls-Royce specialist A&S Engineering, Alton, Hampshire.
