KEY FACTS This Peugeot 205 Rallye is a classic featherweight French hot hatch, which has been resprayed and retrimmed.

It is powered by a twin Weber-carburetted 1.3-litre inline-four, delivering 103bhp to the front wheels through a close-ratio five-speed manual transmission.

This left-hand-drive 205 Rallye was originally delivered to Spain before being imported into the UK, where it was re-registered in January 2019.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES The 205 Rallye was stripped of most of its soundproofing and various comfort-oriented options in order to reduce the car’s weight to 794kg.

To homologate the 205 for Group N and Group A rallying, the 1,124cc engine from the 205 XR was bored and stroked to give a 1,294cc capacity, and was fitted with a reinforced crankshaft and new cams.

Other upgrades included GTI-specification springs, dampers and brakes.

This example is finished in white, punctuated by Peugeot Talbot Sport multicolour stripes on the front grille, rear panel, sides, and above ...
