KEY FACTS This Porsche 356 C is a sophisticated 1960s sports car, and one of 10 examples delivered to the Dutch Rijkspolitie (State Police) in ‘1600 SC Cabriolet’ specification.

Under the bonnet is the 1.6-litre air-cooled pushrod flat-four, which produces 95hp and drives the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

The odometer shows 1,022 km, though the true mileage is not known.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES At its launch, the 1600 SC engine was the most powerful pushrod engine that Porsche had ever built, and the 356 C was ahead of its time, featuring disc brakes on all four wheels.

The accompanying Porsche registration documentation shows that the Reutter bodywork of this 356 was originally finished in white, over a black artificial leather interior.
