Hailed by CAR Magazine as one of the 25 cars you must drive before you die , the VR6 Storm combined serious performance with subtle, understated styling and a level of build quality that has allowed the very best examples to age with remarkable grace.
Powered by the charismatic 2.9-litre narrow-angle VR6 engine producing 188bhp and 181lb ft of torque, driving through a five-speed manual gearbox, the Storm was capable of 0 60mph in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 145mph.
More than outright figures, it is the torque-rich delivery, mechanical feel and unmistakable six-cylinder soundtrack that define the car and continue to win over enthusiasts three decades later.
