The TR was regularly driven throughout the 1990's and was a participant in events such as the Norwich Union RAC Classic rally.

By 2001, the car was a very usable, older restoration and it then moved into the hands of its most recent owner, a classic enthusiast and restorer who stripped this car to the shell and carried out a first class body off restoration.

The TR3A was rebuilt over a twenty year period, it began in the early 2000's and was then paused so attention could be given to grandchildren and a growing family.

Picked up again in 2021, the chassis was rebuilt, and the car totally nut and bolt rebuilt from the ground up.

The engine was completely rebuilt with new main bearings, big end bearings, new timing chain, unleaded head and the crankshaft, flywheel, conrods and pistons all balanced.

All major components were renewed, the gearbox and diff overhauled and the car mechanically and electrically renewed.
