In 1946, our MG TA was taken out of service and sold to a private individual although the car came out of service it didn't come out of Lancashire as it remained in Eccles for 3 years before then moving to Liverpool for the next owner.

The MG was off the radar throughout the 50s and 60s but turned up again in 1975 partly dismantled as it was squirreled away into storage in Royton.

In 2003, CTC 681 was removed from storage and united with an MG restorer who took the project on to take the car back to its former glory.

Records from the cars' time in service were uncovered and a new XPAG engine and 5-speed type 9 gearbox were procured for the project.

Time was a limiting factor for the gent and priority was given to his MG J2, therefore loosely put together it was offered onto the market in 2014.

2014 saw the start of the thorough recommissioning project on the MG TA with its new owner.
