Description
The car was purchased after a 1980's restoration and forty years on since the rebuild, this XK presents as a lovely, aged older restoration.
Since purchase in 1986, the long term owner has covered less than 5000 miles in the car but has kept it superbly maintained throughout ownership.
In 1989 Stratton (Wilmslow) Ltd carried out major work to include replacing the rear crank seals and cosmetic work to include arranging bumper re-chroming.
A firm called Cutting Edge also carried out work to the car in 1989, this included a new hood, sidescreens, window chromes, renewed seat frames and various new rubbers.
In 1990 the XK was valued at £110,000-£115,000 telling us the high standards of the car all those years ago.
In 1991 the head was subject of new valve guides, machining seats and rebuilding the cylinder head and from 1999 Paradise Garage in Cheshire have looked after the XK with many invoices on file over a 20 year period.
