Description
The bodywork received a full restoration in the mid-2000's with lead loading and a bare metal re-paint and years later still offers a fantastic finish.
The interior has been completely retrimmed, all woodwork has been re-veneered, and the car received a complete rechrome together with new wheels.
Along with various mechanical work covering a full brake overhaul and new stainless steel exhaust system, the restoration is understood to have exceeded 1,000 hours.
Following the restoration the car featured on the cover and in an eight-page article in Jaguar World Magazine in July 2008 detailing how to look after a MKII.
In 2009, the 3.8-litre XK engine was upgraded to Coombs specification by Team Classic & Thoroughbred, who are known for the quality engine work.
