The Aston Martin was purchased for the use of the Company Chairman and a letter is on file dated 9th June 1983 when the car was sold to its second owner who was based on Finchley Road, London.

From new in 1979 to 1983 the car was impeccably well maintained, its first service was at 704 miles with Donaldson & Evans in Derbyshire, and from there the first owner had the Volante serviced at Aston Martin Newport Pagnell with service stamps recorded at 3200, 5081, 6321, 7786 and 9902 miles.

The car was sold with 11600 miles, the first owner confirming in a letter that the car had given him great pleasure and was chauffeur maintained, and had never broken down.

The second owner had London Aston Martin expert Ian Mason service the car in 1983 and it was back at Newport Pagnell at 14527 miles in 1984.In 1988 the car passed to its next owner, a car collector in Holland Park and Aston Martin dealership Hyde Vale Garage Limited in Greenwich, London maintained the car initially on his behalf.
