The new Series I XJ6-based Sovereign was introduced in October 1969 Virtually identical to the Jaguar with the exception of its fluted grille and Daimler badging 2.8-litre, straight-six, XK engine with a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive This lovely Series 1 is finished in the, rather conservatively named, Jaguar Pale Blue The gently patinated dark blue leather interior feels intimate yet enormously stylish Dashboard veneers and door cards etc. are in great condition suggesting caring ownership
