The car underwent a meticulous, no-expense-spared, 2 1/2 year restoration to the highest standards. The wood was handcrafted and varnished with eight coats of marine spar varnish. The engine, transmission, and rear end were completely rebuilt. The body was reworked, repainted with five coats of black acrylic enamel, and reassembled to factory specifications. All chromework was replated or replaced, and the interior was retrimmed with correct style leather, new carpets, and a new headliner. The listing states the result is simply stunning and it is difficult to find faults anywhere on the car. The standard of restoration is a credit to all those involved and recommends close inspection.
