HISTORY:For the current, very long-term owner, owner, this R107 350SL was his dream car when he saw it in the street as a child.

20 years later the car came up for sale: he bought it and he s had it ever since.

Some years ago, the car was restored and taken back to factory-original condition with the removal of the 1980 s AMG body kit with which it had been retro-fitted.Metalwork, bulkhead, all new paint add-up to a sympathetic restoration: it s not a concours or show car.

Mechanical work was done on engine, brakes and suspension.

The interior was refreshed with original seats retained, but with carpets and soft top replaced.

With a stainless-steel exhaust system fitted, and a turn of the key, you get the nice early-V8 burble.It sits on refurbished Mexican Hat alloy wheels and has the correct tyres.

It is a very nice place to be inside, with refurbished wood console and the early cream dash top.
