Introduced in 1978 as a six-cylinder variant of the acclaimed Celica, the Supra-whose name derived from the Latin prefix meaning "to surpass"-was destined to rise above.

The second-generation Celica Supra arrived in 1981 and took that distinction further with unique styling, a lengthened silhouette, and comprehensively upgraded suspension, establishing a more sophisticated foundation for Toyota's emerging grand touring flagship.

This 1982 Toyota Celica Supra 2.8i is a desirable early European-market example, equipped with the most powerful 5M-GE engine configuration that delivers 170 PS through its five-speed manual transmission.

Originally finished in Silver on Dark Grey according to its build plate, the Celica Supra has since been restored in two-tone Red on Gloss Black.

This is paired with a two-tone interior featuring black trim with blue/black seats and striped inserts.
