The 1998 911 Carrera Cabriolet represents the end of an era, the final generation of air-cooled 911 that dates back to its introduction as the 901 in 1964.

Consistent engine displacement increases that reached 3.6 liters in late 1989 saw the naturally aspirated powerplant produce 282 horsepower by 1998 and, when paired with a sporting six-speed manual transmission, it delivered the raw, mechanical character prized by air-cooled enthusiasts above all else.

That connection between driver and machine is exactly what makes these final air-cooled cars so collectible today.



Completed in December 1997, this 911 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in a handsome all-Black livery with non-metallic Black paint over a matching Black interior, and a Black convertible soft top evoking the iconic triple black 911 from the TV show Californication.
