Over two evenings on 7 and 8 September 2017, Ferrari unveiled its new V8 grand tourer in Portofino itself, the Italian Riviera harbor village whose name it carries.

Piero Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel were among the guests.

Replacing the California T, the Portofino kept a retractable hardtop beneath a two-box fastback profile, a shape Ferrari described as unprecedented for a coupe-convertible.

It was also the first car in Ferrari's GT range with electric power steering.

Its 3,855-cc twin-turbocharged V8 produces 591 horsepower, enough for 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of more than 199 mph.



Ferrari introduced its Tailor Made program in 2011 to revive the bespoke ordering culture of the 1950s and 1960s.

Clients travel to Maranello and work with a Personal Designer to specify paint and trim well beyond the standard catalog, with this Portofino being one such commission.
