When Ferrari unveiled the F12berlinetta at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, it replaced the 599 GTB Fiorano with a front-engine V12 berlinetta that was more compact, lighter, and considerably faster than the car it succeeded.

Developed by the Ferrari Styling Centre in collaboration with Pininfarina, its body was shaped as much by the wind tunnel as by the drawing board.

Beneath the bodywork, a new aluminum spaceframe proved both lighter and stiffer than its predecessor's, and the engine, seats, and dashboard were all positioned lower and farther rearward to improve weight distribution and lower the center of gravity.



The F12's naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 produced 730 horsepower at 8,250 rpm, making it the most powerful series-production Ferrari yet built.
