Introduced as Bentley's flagship saloon, the Mulsanne carried forward Crewe's tradition of building each car largely by hand, its 6.8-liter V8 and extended-wheelbase cabin making it the natural choice for generations of Bentleys pressed into Royal service.
First registered to Bentley Motors Ltd., Pyms Lane, Crewe, on 4 October 2016, this particular Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase was one of only two examples built for Queen Elizabeth II.
Its time in active Royal service ended when a newer sister Mulsanne was delivered to Her Majesty, at which point this car returned to Bentley's Crewe headquarters.
It remained under Bentley's custodianship until the demise of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Bentley then chose to keep that newer sister car within its own fleet, making this the only Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase used by the Queen to enter a private collection.
