When the facelifted Gallardo LP560-4 arrived in 2008, it bore a host of meaningful enhancements to Lamborghini most successful model yet.

However, Sant'Agata was far from finished rearing its youngest bull.

The updated Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera arrived just two years later, adding Lamborghini's suite of lightweight performance enhancements to the new and improved Gallardo.

As with the original Gallardo Superleggera, the formula remained simple: more power and less weight.

An extensive application of carbon fiber throughout reduced the LP570-4 Superleggera's weight to 1,340 kilograms-an impressive 70 kilos lighter than the original Superleggera.

Concurrently, updated engine management liberated an additional 10 PS from the 5.2-liter V10, bringing output to 570 PS.

The result was the fastest road-going Gallardo ever produced, capable of sprinting from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.
