Founded in 1984 by French engineers Claude Poiraud and Gérard Godfroy, MVS- Manufacture de Voitures de Sport-was intended to compete with fast, luxurious GT offerings from Porsche, Aston Martin, and Ferrari.

Debuting at the 1986 Paris Motor Show, the company's first production model was the Venturi, a sleek, mid-engined sports car built around a tubular steel backbone chassis, fiberglass bodywork, and sophisticated double-wishbone suspension.



Through a decade of continuous refinement, the Venturi evolved into its most refined form, the Atlantique 300.

Penned by co-founder Gérard Godfroy, it retained the elegant proportions of its predecessors while adopting smoother, more contemporary lines.

Power came from the 3.0-liter PRV V6 sourced from the Alpine A610; in non-catalyzed specification, as fitted to this car, the engine produced 300 CV and propelled the 1,250-kg car to a top speed of 280 km/h.
