Named in honor of Juan Manuel Fangio and Jean Behra's victory at the 1957 12 Hours of Sebring, the Maserati 3500 GTi Sebring was conceived as a 2+2 grand touring car and carried over the mechanical foundations of its recent predecessor, the 3500 GTI, with a tubular chassis and a fuel-injected 3.5-liter inline-six producing 235 Italian cavalli vapore horsepower, dressed by the great designer Giovanni Michelotti for Carrozzeria Vignale.

One of only 348 Series I Sebrings produced, this example was delivered new in July 1963 to the charming Italian city of Perugia.
