One of only 181 examples ever built, this Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America was completed on 14 October 1955, finished in Grigio (Grey) over a black leather interior, and, like most, was originally destined for the American market.

A former Italian registration document issued in 1994 reveals that it was re-imported from the United States in 1989, wearing the registration number "N 487T," and was later acquired in 1999, through his companies, by Emilio "Chicco" Gnutti, the Italian billionaire renowned for his passion for motorsport, expressed through an impressive collection that included this Aurelia, and through his investment in Formula 1 with the Scuderia Italia team, which later evolved into Minardi.

During his ownership, the car received regular inspections every two years from 2001 to 2013, all yielding an "esito regolare," or compliant result, as indicated by the stickers on the registration document.
