Ferrari introduced the Dino 246 GT in 1969 as the next evolution of its first mid-engine, V6-powered road car, marrying a 2.4-liter Formula Two-bred engine with Pininfarina-styled coachwork.

By mid-1971, the third and final "E Series" embodied the most refined evolution of the 246 GT, featuring dual-Weber DCNF/19 carburetors and a Magneti Marelli ignition system to develop 195 CV.

The completely revised five-speed transmission, with longer gear ratios, and a reworked dashboard-now with provisions for the optional air conditioning-enhanced practicality.

With 3,061 examples of the Series E GT produced between 1971 and 1974, these models represent the 246 GT in its final and most mechanically sophisticated form.



According to a report compiled by Dino historian Matthias Bartz, chassis number 03924 was completed at Maranello on 23 May 1972 as a desirable late E-Series example.
