The BMW 850 CSi represents the ultimate evolution of BMW's early 1990s grand touring philosophy, pairing understated design with serious BMW M engineering.
Introduced in 1992 as the flagship of the 8 Series, it was extensively reworked into what many regard as the M8 that never officially materialized, centered around an M-built S70 5.6-liter V12 producing 380 PS and mated exclusively to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Beyond its powertrain, the CSi received comprehensive chassis and suspension upgrades, including Active Rear Axle Kinematics for enhanced agility and stability, along with larger brakes, sharper steering, subtle aerodynamic revisions, and a bespoke exhaust.
