The DB6 was the final and most refined of Aston Martin's elegant 1960s grand tourers.
Sporting enhanced aerodynamics over its predecessor, the resulting engineering and design brief raised the DB6's roofline by 25 mm, improving rear headroom and lengthening the wheelbase by 95 mm, creating additional legroom for rear passengers.
The open-top variant, the DB6 Volante, was unveiled at the 1966 London Motor Show and replaced the outgoing "Short-Chassis" Volantes built on the final run of DB5s with a true, purpose-built four-seater convertible.
One of just 140 examples produced, this 1968 Aston Martin DB6 Volante was ordered new on 17 July 1968 and finished in Platinum with a Black soft top over Black Connolly leather upholstery and matching Wilton wool carpets.
