To celebrate both the 25th anniversary of the 911 and the final year of the beloved G-Model, Porsche unveiled the limited-production 1989 911 Speedster as a striking tribute to the original 356 Speedster and a bold statement in its own right.
First previewed as the Speedster Studie at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show, the production version retained the concept's raked wraparound windshield, double-hump clamshell tonneau cover, and exciting minimalistic character.
Though based on the Carrera 3.2, most Speedsters were constructed using the Turbo's wider bodywork, giving the car an aggressive stance accentuated by Turbo-width 16-inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels.
